Anky van Grunsven's second Grand Prix horse, the 13-year old KWPN licensed stallion Painted Black, has been sold to Spanish junior rider Morgan Barbançon. The talented 18-year old acquired the black stallion this week as her future Grand Prix horse.



Barbançon, who finished seventh at the 2010 European Junior Riders Championships in Kronberg four weeks ago, tried out Painted Black the past few days and immediately felt a connection. "He is such an amazing horse," said an excited Morgan. "I could immediately ride each part of the Grand Prix test with him. It was like flying."



Painted Black is ranked 38th on the WBFSH Horse Ranking and Van Grunsven is ranked 6th with him on the FEI Riders Ranking.
